What is a Job Application Letter?
A job application letter is also referred to as a cover letter. It is a short presentation from you representing you from far but getting the employer closer as you present yourself. Your application letter must be like the best attorney who does their best to make sure their clients are well represented even in their absentia.
Enough with the cheap talk, let’s get into the business of the moment.
How do I write a Convincing Application Letter?

Firstly, you must understand that this should be an official presentation from yourself, that is, you have to show your professionalism on this part. Do not write it so casually that the employer or recruiter will lose interest in the beginning. Try to hook them to want to read more and more.

Your letter shall have the beginning, the middle and the end and must be well constructed.
Apart from writing the employer addresses which is obvious, start your letter with a formal salutation. Salutation is a greeting addressing whoever may be reading your letter.
Since you may not know the person you are writing to by name, or you may not know if they are a he or a she, it is always safer to start your letter with ‘Dear Sir/Madam’.

I hereby apply for the Teacher Assistant Position that was advertised at your school and in our community notice newsletter. (Start presenting yourself). I believe that my expertise and qualifications will make me a valuable asset to your organisation and I would appreciate it if you could consider my application.
I believe that I will add value to your company/department/institution to achieve its goals and the realisation of the programme and institutional objectives.
(Do not say too much as there are other accompanying documents such as your CV and qualifications)
That is: Don’t repeat what is already on the CV, rather talk more about what you can offer than just stating your qualifications.
