About R350 SRD Grant
The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) is one of the grants administered by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in South Africa. This is one of the interventions the South African Government has put in place to assist residents, asylum seekers and citizens of the country who were affected by COVID-19.
Why this SRD Grant?
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people in different ways as it resulted in restrictions in movement as measures by the government to control the spread of the virus. The restrictions lead to loss of income for many, hence the government find it fit to establish the SRD Grant.
What you are able to do on the Sassa SRD Website
Having said that they are not taking new applications, the activities and enquiries about the grant can be processed via the website. The following service tabs were active on the SRD website when we visited it on the 22nd of April 2022.
On the SRD website you can:

Select SA Post Office Branch for Grant collection

My application says declined because of NSFAS but I’m not receiving any payment from NSFAS. Since November it keeps declining, have not receive a response when I apply for reconsideration.

Hi I’ve been approved since I’ve received since jan until March 2022 …April I understand is not available but need I reaply in future if I’m all ready on the data base if sassa will the 350 srd payment still be made into my bank account when srd grant is reinstated? Or need I re apply?

Is SASSA aware that some of us have no fathers or that they died us not knowing them and that mjolo wa re nyesa. where are we suppose to get ID numbers of our fathers and life partners that we don’t have.

Good day I want to find out I have applied for the SDR 350 grant and I was approved from month to month but for April 2022 status just show March 2022 and with the extension of the R350 grant until March 2023 sassa said that we don’t have to reapply for the existension now I am confused do we have reapply or not.
