How to Accept Firm Offer at UKZN 2022
If you are reading this, it means you may have received a message from the University of KwaZulu-Natal to accept offer to study in 2022. This blog post outlines what steps to follow in order to accept firm offer at UKZN.
Application for admission to universities are reviewed and processed by the university concerned. UKNZ, like other universities, they have their own process to follow in order for a student to be admitted to the institution. If you have received a message to accept offer at UKZN, it means you are going to the next step in order for the university to finalise your application for admission.
So, what do you do to accept the offer?
Complete relevant acceptance form.
The university requires that you accept the offer within 3 days of receiving the message by completing the relevant forms on this document. You can download them by clicking on the relevant download option. If you do not accept the offer within 3 days, the offer will be withdrawn and you will not be allowed to register with the university. Your place or space will be offered to another applicant because the university receives more applications than it can accommodate.
Pay acceptance fee
You have to pay an acceptance of R250 if you are a South African applicant. This amount is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another applicant or carried over to the following year.
If you are international full time applicants (other than Masters and PhD) you are required to pay your tuition and residence fees in full before you will be allowed to register.
Payment of Acceptance of Offer must be paid directly to the UKZN banking details as provided on the offer acceptance guiding document. You must use your UKZN student number provided in your SMS as reference number when making the payment. Please note: South African students must pay an initial minimum tuition fee of R3 750 to register and the R250 Acceptance of Offer fee is included in this amount for first year students.
International students Bank transfers/payment of tuition/levy amounts must also be paid into UKZN banking details as stated on this document.
Submit the required documents
The next step will be to submit your forms together with proof of payment (the transfer or deposit slip) to the university.
You must return the documents listed below to your college or faculty to the details provided on the guiding document either in person, by faxing or scanning and emailing.

The documents to submit include:
Indemnity form (Completed and signed)
Relevant completed and signed Acceptance of Offer form
Completed and signed Residence Acceptance of Offer form (where applicable)
Proof of payment of deposit (local) or full fees (international)
Certified copy of an ID/Passport
Certified copy of results/certificate
The documents must be certified before submission.
