About Afrimat in a Nut Shell

Afrimat Lyttelton, based in Centurion has a vacancy for a: Mechanical Engineering Learner
Minimum Qualification / Requirements:
- Studying towards a Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Willing to learn and be trained
- Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
- The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Soild knowledge to read and interpret engineering drawings
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
- Complete the vacation work program
- Assist with multiple maintenance projects
- Assist with improving maintenance and availability of the plant
- Conducting various tests on products, analyse the results and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct safety inspections in the plant and around the site
- Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives
- Assist with general maintenance on the plant
