The Limpopo Health Department on the 1st of March2022, advertised 714 EPWP vacancies on their Facebook page. They are looking for 400 Admin Assistants, 265 General Food Service Workers, 34 EPWP U-Filling Assistants and 15 Data Capturers.
How much is the stipend?
The successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R3000. This has not been well received by some of the Facebook users. They go on to say, the government is not solving the unemployment problem by offering such “inhumane” stipend.
“Positions not a learnership or internship with that stipend 3000 this is a pure inhuman on the part of poor South African. Our government is not solving a problem but rather adding salt on a wound” A Facebook user commented under the work opportunities advertisements followed by like, love and crying emojis by fellow Facebook users.
UPDATE: The Facebook post on Department of Health Limpopo has been removed. But other pages like Seshego and Moletjie News shared the job opportunities. See Facebook thread below.
What are the requirements?
These positions mainly requires people with grade 12or ABET certificate. They say a tertiary qualification is an added advantage. For Admin Assistant positions, they require grade 12 and a recognised NQF level 6 qualifications as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
