Did you know that you can make money with Makro electronics recycling in a form of eWaste vouchers? Yes, Makro has partnered with various organisations to help clear the so called ‘eWaste’ products.
If you have an old appliance lying around your place and it is no longer useful for you why not exchange it for a Makro eWaste voucher and get some new stuff for yourself.
You can dump your old appliances at selected Makro stores around the country on the weekends scheduled for these activities. The first weekend for this project for 2023 was the weekend of the 14 to 15 October 2023 and the second weekend will be the weekend of 21 to 22 October 2023.
What Kind of items are expected?
Items to be collected includes anything that runs on battery or electricity including the batteries themselves. They ranges from small appliances, medium appliances to large appliances and also ICT equipment. See examples below.

Where To Drop Off My Old Appliances
“Bring in your small, medium and large domestic appliances as well as ICT e-waste during our Makro operating hours. You will be given a Makro voucher in exchange for your old appliances.” eWaste Recycling Authority.
