Matric Results Release Date 2022: Many South Africans are asking when the 2022 grade 12 results will be released? The DBE (Department of Basic Education) has announced that the 2021 exam results will be released in January 2022. The 2021 class completed their final exams on December 7, having started in October 2021.
The Minister of Basic Education , Angie Motshekga, is expected to announce the results of the exam on January 20, 2022, while the provinces will release the results the next day, on January 21, 2022.

Students on the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) will see their results made public on January 19, 2022. The IEB defines and marks the final exams for most of the country’s private and independent schools.

To obtain a Senior National Certificate (NSC), a student must achieve 40% in three subjects, one of which is an official language at the Main Language level and 30% in three subjects.
