Matric Results 2022 Announcement :The Minister of Basic Education Department will announce Matric results of 2021 tonight at 18h00. The minister held a breakfast session with the top achievers of the class of 2021 a hotel in Johannesburg. The announcement session will be held at SABC studios in Johannesburg on the evening of 20 January 2022.
The Basic Education Department Minister, Angie Motshekga will announce the 2021 National Senior Certificate (NSC) at a ceremony held at the SABC’s studios in Johannesburg on Thursday even at 18:00.

Ways and Places to Get Matric Results 2022
The matric results 2022 announcement will include information about the pass rate at the national level as well as in the country’s nine provinces. The matric results will also be published of media platforms after a Pretoria High Court ruled against the decision of the Department of Basic Education not to publish the results on public platforms. They (the department) have cited the POPI Act as a reason not to publish the matric results on media platforms. However, the court have ruled against their decision leading to them accepting to abide by the court’s ruling.

Matriculants will now be able to access matric results through a variety of public platforms including online, at school, newspapers and the MatricsMate app. The matriculants initialy recived the news not to publish the results with mixed reaction. The Independent Examination Board (IEB) results were released on the 19th of January with 98.3% pass rate. But some of the learners asked why the results are released on different dates.
