NSFAS applications for 2026 open for applications. Apply to secure study funding for 2026 academic year.
Minister Buti Manemela explained that education is about expanding the freedom for young people to study and move into the workplace.
The Minister urged young people to apply on time, and to explore multiple options as spaces are limited.
The official opening of NSFAS for 2026 will happen on Tuesday 16th September at the University of Pretoria. However the My-NSFAS portal is already open for applications.
The Minister urged young people to consider TVET College training. “The future of this country lies with artisans – with people who can build things” he said.
Minister Manamela also announced that applications for NSFAS will close on the 15th November this year.
