NSFAS Appeal Approved Meaning

What is required for one to submit an appeal to NSFAS?
If you have applied for NSFAS and your application has been unsuccessful, you can make an appeal. You can submit your NSFAS appeal online by visiting nsfas.org.za.

For you to submit your appeal, you may be required to write a motivational letter detailing why you feel you deserve to get the bursary or funding. You will also need to attach supporting documents to substantiate your reasons why you deserve the funding. Supporting documents for example may include payslips of your parents income or guardians, bank statements or proof of income for whoever that is supposed to fund your academic studies.
Please note that NSFAS will not consider affidavit as valid supporting document.
NSFAS Appeal Approved Meaning
If NSFAS approves your appeal, your NSFAS status will change to “Appeal approved for funding subject to registration”. That will mean that your application for NSFAs bursary is successful.
That also means you may receive NSFAS funding once the institution you intended to study gives you admission space and you accept to register for enrolment.
That is basically what NSFAS status “Appeal approved” means in a nut shell.
Now that you have been funded, you may proceed and go to your institution’s financial aid office to finalise the process.

I made an appeal, my status now says appeal approved. Does it mean nsfas will be funding me? All the boxes are ticked with a right.
