The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has made a public acknowledgement about allegations of misconduct by one of their officials at Sassa Mogwase Local Office in the North West Province. The agency has stated that they are taking the matter seriously and it has been escalated internally to ensure it does not happen again.
It is alleged that there is an employee who is ‘terrorising’ beneficiaries.
“There’s an employee of yours at Mogwase SASSA who’s apparently terrorising customers. I hope you’re attending to the complaints against her.” Duke of Kimberly on Twitter wrote
Man’s NOT Barry Roux on Twitter also twitted “This is Precious from Mogwase SASSA, She’s very rude to a point that she tells people that “if those grants were hers, she wouldn’t give them to people” She’s very rude & she doesn’t have respect even elders. The way she speaks to the people before she can assist them is shameful”

ALLEGATION OF MISCONDUCT AT MOGWASE SASSA LOCAL OFFICE
SASSA has noted with concern allegations of misconduct and mistreatment of beneficiaries by one of the officials at Mogwase Local Office, North West. SASSA would like to state that service with dignity to our beneficiaries should always be prioritized. These allegation have been taken seriously and escalated internally to ensure this does not happen again.
We would like to apologies to anyone who may have been affected by this incident and we give assurance that any behavior not in line with our values will not be tolerated.
