The advert which reads “In 2022, over 575,000 citizens will receive R700 payment. This is part of Sassa 2022 budget to support all South Africa (sic) citizens. Applications has began and citizen (sic) that have applied have started getting their R700 payments.” Has received some reaction from The South African Social Security Agency.
What is Sassa saying about this R700 grant?
On their Twitter page (@OfficialSassa), The South African Social Security Agency has announced that the advert in question is fake. They keep warning the public about this false information.
Sassa on Twitter says: “Please note that the below advert is FAKE and does not come from SASSA. No additional grant type is offered apart from the ones announced by SASSA”. See the embedded tweet below.
About R350 SRD Grant

I want to know when are the Reconsideration appeals going to be dealt with because SASSA is dragging with payments for them. I’m so frustrated I haven’t received one payment from the time I applied for this R350 social grant money, and when you call SASSA each consultant gives a damn different story I’m tired of appealing for each month that gets declined I’m not working for more than 3years now and I am not registered with the UIF DEPARTMENT!
SASSA you need to speed up this badly process with the Reconsideration applications and pay me my money with immediate affect!!!
