About Sassa SRD application or reapplication: The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) is one of the grants administered by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in South Africa. This is one of the interventions the South African Government has put in place to assist residents, asylum seekers and citizens of the country who were affected by COVID-19.

The Sassa SRD Application channels for the grant include the online portal and the WhatsApp line.

What to do if Your Application is Declined?
If you are declined and you feel that you qualify for the grant, you can make an appeal for Sassa to reconsider your application. The current application for reconsiderations or appeal can be done via the Social Development website.

There are several ways you can use to apply for the R350 grant. Note that, if you have already applied, there is no need to reapply now. But if you have been declined, you can reapply monthly or send an appeal.

Sassa SRD Website
The Sassa SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za. You can apply for the grant by visiting Sassa SRD website. Follow the easy instructions there. Start by entering your ID numbers and cellphone number of the space provided under “Apply” for the grant bar.
WhatsApp: 082 046 8553. The second method you can use is WhatsApp. Use the number provided here to start a conversation with the chat bot to apply.
Choose your preferred channel to apply for the SRD R350 grant if you meet the minimum requirements.

Go to srd.sassa.gov.za to check your R350 application status.

I applied for 350 sassa on August 2021 I was declined because of uif yes I was getting it but it was finished when i apply I went to department of Labour to ask to be cancelled but they told me to go and appeal at sassa but when i appeal it says the cell phone number is not valid so i dont know how because i havent change my number and im not working is hard to live without any income and my bank is closed after theres no money coming after the uif i was getting with that acount so i dont know what to do now pls help

Since You say We apply for the second time,We have a serious problem even if We didn’t change Our place like Banks where we were getting money.The People who have a problem now are the one who was getting money from Banks.Is the anything wrong with Banks?
Why doesnt Monister Zulu or the President take accountability for this huge service failures within Sassa or tell the truth why we are not getting paid. They declining people based on the following.
A) Any amount being deposited into your account is considered as income. Why is Sars there if no income tax that clearly reflects as no income. So they digging into our personal accounts which is an invasion of our privacy.
B) Secondly Minister and the President should know that statistics showed that one person dies every hour of starvation worlwide so how many people died of starvation due to this delay and all Minister Zulu says please be patient. Is any of them going to take responsibility for the South Africans who died over this period while Minister Zulus new system costed (This is what i heard costed millions so we have to starve) Please dont quote me on this but its murder in reality as people are dying of starvation.
C) All these systems implemented was of saving cost for the Country which is undemocratic and inhumane and all goes against tne Human Acts regulations.
So come and take authority Minister Zulu and Mr Cyril Ramaphosa as it clearly shows you both are unfit in both your positons so step down and stop using your Autocratic Approach to your own citizens

When will i get April,May,June and July payment I already reapply
I applied for r350 last year and it declined due to uif registered but I made an appeal and approved this year since June 2022 up until now I haven’t received dates. So what should I do?
My name is Bhavana limbada I haven’t received my 350 grant for 3 mnts nw my status is showing july 13 pay date but no sms from the bank why may June is pending
Since I applied for sassa I haven’t yet received any payment April and June are approved with no dates and am struggling please give feedback why is it taking time?

I was successful initially in applying for the R350 grant and got mineuntil October last year 2021. Just after my son mistakenly deposited an amount of money in my account that was meant for his dad,which I transferred back, Sassa stopped my payments. I tried to reapply bt to no avail. When I went to Sassa offices they told me that I must go in the website again, which I did,bt hasn’t been able to get into, because whatever money I didn’t get since October up till when I applied for my pension, is still due to me and that I’m supposed to get it back even though I applied now for older pension grant in July. Please let me know what to do next.

Please Sassa give me a pay date for June’s R350 I need it,have an Ulcer leg and every week I must take a taxi to the Day hospital for dressing and once a month Tygerberg Hospital please am already in Debt from lending.And I need to go for dressing for this leg if mine,because here were I live the Clinic doesn’t so this dressing so I must take taxi or walk to Delft Day hospital so I can some faint when I get there of pain.And Hunger Please provide payment date for June I need it.Desprite.
