The University of South Africa (UNISA) is working on paying NSFAS Allowances directly into students bank account. The University has made another announcement about the process underway.

Background
After their contract with Intellimali, the company which was responsible for distributing students NSFAS allowances has come to an end last month, Unisa has announced that they will pay allowances directly into student’s bank accounts.
Recent updates on NSFAS Allowance Payment for students
A recent announcement from Unisa’s website pleaded the students to be patience while they are “working tirelessly” to ensure the exercise come to fruition.
The Announcement in details
The announcement reads: “Unisa is in the process of preparing to pay allowances directly to students’ bank accounts. Addressing this matter successfully is a priority for the institution.”
The message continues “ We plead with students to please be patient and allow relevant officials to ensure that all the relevant processes are in place for the distribution of these allowances. The institution does not want to accidentally leave any qualifying student behind.”
The University further said “The team is working tirelessly to ensure this exercise comes to a fruition. In the meantime, students are requested to ensure that they have active bank accounts. Also ensure that your contact details on myUnisa are up to date and that you have also activated the myLife email.”
NSFAS Allowance Payment Platform
They concluded the message by saying “As soon as the online platform for capturing banking details is running, Unisa will inform students accordingly.”
