Sassa to Clear Outstanding SRD Payments

Sassa has again reaffirms the beneficiaries that the SRD grants outstanding from April 2022 will be paid in mid-June 2022. The agency also indicated how they are planning to clear out these outstanding payments.

The message on Sassa social media pages reads: payments for the new cycle of the special COVID-19 grant (From April 2022) will be paid as from mid-june 2022.

SASSA will continue clearing outstanding payments from the previous cycle as and when the bank details are confirmed.

The payments will not be done together, but will be done month by month.

More than one payment may be made in a month but no one will receive double payments in amount.

Sassa will do these multiple in a month until the backlog is finalized, where after monthly payments will resume

  10. I’m deep in depts because of the R350 grant still pending it is the only income i get but now that it’s been months without receiving it I’ve been struggling alot..hopefully by the end of this month we will get our payments.

  27. I reapplied in early May – to date still pending. What has happened to the funds for the SRD grant if the arrears cannot be paid in a lump sum? Another example of this government’s inability to manage anything properly. The most vulnerable people in society have one again been made to feel worthless. One has to wonder how SASSA and government employees would manage if they had to go two months without income. Clearly, there is no concern for the vulnerable or thier ability to feed themselves or families. What should be helping people has turned out to be completely unreliable. Sick of this government and the irreparable damage they have done to our once great country.

  29. I don’t have any income but it first stated I’m UIF Registered and I’m not. Than it says other source of income identified whereas I’m still not working for the past 2 years. I’ve reapplied again in April 2022 and it still shows pending.

The criteria that is been used by sassa its not good and we are unemployed with lots of debts and I have been declined because they think I’m getting income somewhere..im struggling to survive this life on its own..I ask relatives to help so that I can provide my family every month with the hope that R350 srd will be a relief as well to my problems..make thorough checks before you decline people,you are adding more stress to our lives..

I was receiving the R350 srd Grant for 5 months and suddenly stopped, l am a single mother with two children 10months and 3 years old and receive no money at all and am living on handouts, l have enquired over and over and get a message saying your application is active and that’s as far as it goes, the same with my application for the children Grant’s since February this year and also with no results.

  56. I would like to know abt us who were approved from last year and now changed to referred.the consultant said is because we applied for other people using our cell numbers or our i.d numbers somebody might tried to do fraud with it, that we might not know abt cos we apply for jobs also

  65. I support COSATU on the fact that those who receive support that is more than 350 on a monthly basis are to be cut from receiving the SRD grant which is the R350 will not be paid from now on.   108. Are waiting for the SRD GRANT which means Stolen Rhamaposa Dollar grant.
    They say just say payments will be done the middle of June but not a date and Thursday is a public holiday. So they probably have to go get that couch by cash converters with 4 million in.

  133. Hi… I had recently applied for the 350ZAR grant on the previous year November 2021 and was approved. What I am struggling to understand I’ve never received any payment, as of that month until today. Whereas I’ve set for the payment to be payed directly into my account and nothing was received, then changed to be payed directly to the bank whereby I will receive a pin to withdraw such amount. But gues what,nothing. What is the step a brother should take in order to receive what I seek,please.

It truly very sad to say yes it’s difficult to make ends me as I have been collecting srd grant but did not recieve payment from April as I hve been admitted ro hospital since n been home on a passout wit a caterte fit on due to Himoturia on the 30th June going for an opp but need funds to help me move around pray n hope this time around srd payments will b msde

    What the heck is this”there won’t be double payments”do you have any idea how long we have struggled without these R350 grants you guys were not giving us for 2months???…no man don’t be selfish niziqabangele Nina nodwa namapokoto enu.Some of us are relying in that money so please put yourselves in our shoes for once.As from Wednesday we are expecting double payments since you kept us waiting without informing us.
