Sassa Grants

Sassa, on a monthly basis disburse different types of grants to the recipients. One such grant is a war veteran grant.

What is a War Veteran Grant?

Gov.za describes War Veteran Grant as a grant for former soldiers who fought in the Second World War (1939-1945) or the Korean War (1950-1953) and are unable to support yourself.

Who qualifies for this grant?

You must:

  • be a South African citizen or permanent resident
  • live in South Africa
  • be 60 years of age or older or be disabled
  • have fought in the Second World War or the Korean War
  • not receive any other social grant for yourself  
  • not be cared for in a state institution
  • not earn more than R 86 280 if you are single or R172 560 if married
  • not have assets worth more than R 1 227 600 if you are single or R 2 455 200 if you are married.

The social grants payment dates are as follows:

Old Age Grant will be paid on 02 September 2022.

Disability Grant will be paid on 05 September 2022

All other grants including Child Grant will be paid on 06 September 2022

Yes I would really addore and approve that the CHILD SUPPORT GRANT/ SINGLE MOMS AND DADS need this grant to please be TOPPED up from R480 too at less R1250 as well for us we cant survive on just R480 a month and we have now support of income or family help and the food that is going up how do we eat in a month or even buy warm things for winter or for school things Well I cant do it and I dont find work my boy is 3yrs old now he has to stay at home and dont even have the owner of going too pre crece at all or too meet friends
