When will the matric results for public schools be released?

Learners are expected to get their results as from tomorrow ( 21 January 2021. The results can be accessible via online media platforms, newspapers and at the schools where learners wrote their final grade 12 examinations.

What to do with your matric results?

After receiving your matric results you can:

Register at universities, universities of technology, TVET Colleges, private colleges and other higher education institutions.

You can apply for learnerships where you will be trained and get paid at the same time. Learnerships are programmes aimed at equipping you with knowledge and skills to prepare your for tertiary or training entrance or for permanent jobs.

You can apply for bursaries and scholarships to further your studies. NSFAS is one of the government funding institutions aimed at helping students from disadvantaged background to further their studies.

You can apply for jobs where the requirements for the position are just matric certificate.

What if you fail matric, what can you do to improve your results?

The Department of Basic Education have a second chance programme where you can enrol and get a second chance to write matric again this year. If you prepare well, you can get better results.
