The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) social grants payment dates for August 2022 are out. The grants payments will commence on the 2^nd of August and concludes on the 4^th of August.

Alternative Ways to Collect Social Grants

Sassa has recently asked beneficiaries to use alternative ways to get their social grants. They indicated that the Sassa card is also a debit card which has been approved by the South African Reserve Bank. The card can be used to withdraw money at ATMs, retail outlets tellers and more other places.

You may also use your Sassa card to pay for products in stores. Sassa encourages beneficiaries to use alternative ways to collect their social grants to reduce long queues at pay outlets.

Payment dates for 2022 to 2023

Earlier this year, the agency has published social grants payment dates for the rest of 2022 until March 2023. The dates are accessible here.

SRD Grant Payment Dates for August

You may get an indication for your SRD payment date for the current month by checking your R350 grant status at SRD website. If there is no payment date, it means your payment has not yet been processed. You will need to check your SRD grant status later.

Social Grant Payment Dates for August 2022

The social grants payments for the month of August will start on the 2^nd of August and will be concluded on the 4^th of August. Sassa reminds beneficiaries that they can withdraw their month on any day of the month after payment. You do not have to withdraw the whole money if you don’t want to use it all at a time.
