Understanding Your SRD R350 Grant Status

Understanding SRD R350 Grant Status and What to do

Posted on 13/07/202214/07/2022 by Career Page

The meaning of your SRD R350 Grant Status may be confusing if you didn’t get proper understanding. There are several statuses that may display on your SRD Grant application, but what does that status mean? We gathered information below to let you know what your SRD R350 Grant status means according to Sassa.

One of the first statuses to see after submitting your application may be ‘Application complete’

Application complete means that you have completed the reapplication process and your application will be verified each month for the SRD R350 grant. Sassa verifies applications on monthly basis, so at the beginning of each month, you may see a new status when you log onto the SRD system.

Table of Contents

  • What to do about this status?
  • Banking details pending
  • Reapplication pending
  • What to do?
  • Pending for certain period
  • What to do here?
  • Approved status
  • What to do when your application is approved?
  • Declined status
  • Cancelled
  • Question time
  • Get updates

What to do about this status?

Nothing much is needed from you, all you need to do is to wait for Sassa to do the verifications.

Banking details pending

Your application was received, but no banking details provided on the system.

What to do about this status?

All you need to do is to submit your banking details to Sassa via the SRD website.

Reapplication pending

If your grant status says ‘Reapplication pending’ it means that no re-application has been received by Sassa. That means, you have not yet sent an application to Sassa for the current cycle of the COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant.

What to do?

You must log onto the SRD system and submit an application or submit via WhatsApp channel.

Pending for certain period

If your grant status says ‘pending’ for a certain month it means re-application was successfully received. Verification of the application for the period is pending for that month. For example, if you check your grant status in July and it shows ‘pending’ it means that your application has not yet been verified for the month of July. The status will change as soon as the verification has been completed.

What to do here?

You have to check back the status later in the month for an update. The status will only change when your application has been reviewed for the particular month.

Approved status

This means that the application was approved for that month. Sassa approved applications on a monthly basis; this means that your application has been approved for that month. If circumstances changes on the coming month, your status may be different after review.

What to do when your application is approved?

You should check the pay day field for an indication of when you will receive your money. If no pay day value is provided, no payment has been processed as yet.

Declined status

This means that the application was declined for the period and the reason will be provided.

What to do when your application is declined?

You can submit a request for reconsideration via the Social Development website, should you feel that the reason for decline is invalid.

Cancelled

This means that the grant is cancelled.

What to do about ‘cancelled’ grant status?

If you wish to reinstate the grant, it can be done on the SRD website.

Question time

What does your application status says for the current month? Comment below for us to publish your comment on Careerpage.co.za

My self I don’t see the importance of our government they are eating money alone on top they are so useless is better we go back to the old government they don’t care about the poor people as long as they are okay with their family’s and their friends.

Good people this srd grant we not going to get it anytime soon mark my words, we will get it on November when ANC December conference is around the corner, ANC is buying votes with this money not that they giving it to the poor as they said, if that money is meant for the poor why they didn’t get it all these months, since April, May, June, July nothing is happening but they(ANC) claim they thinking for the poor, what are the poor eating all these past months? Another thing this app is always under construction don’t you think these people are just buying time so we will believe the app has a problem

I agree more with you because the applications that were made in 2021 August till December 2021 have declined with UIF registered reason that no one is from sassa explaining it even though we last worked in 2020

Secondly a person who’s never worked, was diclined for June with a reason saying alternative income source identified and this person only received funds in his account on February and March only. So where are those alternative income funds are coming from.

It’s very unfair what’s done to our south Africans who did not choose to be unemployed, covid-19 is the cause of many job loss but people are being played for fulls by our government.

It is really sad that people applying for the SRD grant must through so much to get this money. Who in SA today isn’t struggling financially? Instead of scrutinizing our finances, why not check how many mouths we older folk must feed cos’ jobs are so scarce. Over 50’s don’t get jobs these days. We will keep praying for this country and it’s leaders!!
