NSFAS Encourages Applicants to Apply for 2023 Bursary
National Student Financial Aid Scheme applications for 2023 are still open until 31 January 2023. NSFAS warns applicants that by creating myNSFAS account does not mean that they have applied. They need to login and make their applications.

“Hey applicants, please note that creating a myNSFAS account does not mean you have applied for funding. After creating an account, you need to log in to your myNSFAS account using your ID number and password, click on the apply now button, and follow the steps to apply” NSFAS wrote on their Twitter page.
How to Apply for NSFAS for 2023
Here are the steps to follow in order to apply for NSFAS for 2023:
Step 1Go to https://my.nsfas.org.za
Step 2: Type in first names (as per ID number)
Step 3: Type in Surname (as per ID number)
Step 4: Type in your ID number (will your username)
Step 5: Type in your own Email address
Step 6: Type in your own Cell phone number
Step 7: Accept terms and conditions Tick the box provided, to allow NSFAS to check the information provided (compulsory) Create a Password, To (protect your account)
Step 8: Login and Start application process.

Who Qualifies for NSFAS?
You qualify for NSFAS if :
You are a SASSA grant recipients
Your combined household income is not more than R350 000 per year
You are a person with a disability with a combined household income of not more than R600 000 per year
You are a student who begun your university studies before 2018 and your household income is not more than R122 000 per year
