Matriculants who wrote their examinations in 2022 are to know their examination results before the end of January 2022.

Matric Results Release Date 2023
The Minister of Basic Education will announce the Matric Results on 19 January 2022. Learners will be able to get their results the following day on the 20th of January 2023.
Important Dates for Matriculants
19 January 2023: Minister to announce Matric Results for the Class of 2022
20 January 2023: Statement of results will be available at exam centers and schools.
03 February 2023: Last day to apply for remarking/ rechecking of examination scripts.
08 February 2023: Last day to register for the 2023 May/ June examinations.
15 March 2023: Last day to register for the 2023 October/ November examinations.

Inland schools
- Term 1: 11 January to 24 March
- Term 2: 12 April to 23 June
- Term 3: 18 July to 29 September
- Term 4: 10 October to 13 December
Coastal schools
- Term 1: 18 January to 31 March
- Term 2: 12 April to 23 June
