The advert which reads “In 2022, over 575,000 citizens will receive R700 payment. This is part of Sassa 2022 budget to support all South Africa (sic) citizens. Applications has began and citizen (sic) that have applied have started getting their R700 payments.” Has received some reaction from The South African Social Security Agency.
Sassa reaction on Twitter
On their Twitter page (@OfficialSassa), The South African Social Security Agency has announced that the advert in question is fake.

About R350 SRD Grant
The current SRD Grant pays R350 to approved applicants for the period determined. The extension of the grant depends of the availability of the funds and the announcements are made by the relevant officials.

How to appeal if your R350 grant application is rejected
The first step is to go to the SRD Website with is srd.sassa.gov.za
Scroll down to a section marked “Application for reconsideration”
Click on “Click here to apply or check reconsideration status”
Follow the remaining steps as instructed.

Yes it should be increased,bcz at my age no company can hire me suffering with diabetes, hypertension,and obese,TAKE MY COMMENT INTO CONSIDERATION
Yes they should increase this R350 with this money u only buy 5kg of braai pack nd breads u can’t even buy maize meal or rice even if u go to collect it its already finished because of the tax fare……… There is a young boy who receives this grant he is doing grade 12 this nd he is supposed to go nd rent near the school and this money is the money that he depends on it for rent.. Food.. Cosmetic etc cause he got no one no support from home if they increase this many homes nd people will be happy thou….. In the rural areas the crime has been reduced cause they have money to buy cigarettes Government have to took this matter into consideration
Yes increase it for adults from 35 – 59 years because it is difficult for them to get the job

Yes it’s true I’m asking our government to increase 350 to 580 we are not working and we will not working untill our age of 59 Years the companies can’t hire a person who’s age is from 40years how are we going to survive from 40 to 59 Years with out no working
