April SRD Payments to Resume Next Tuesday

Going to a long Easter weekend means a lot of things for the R350 SRD Grant recipients. It also means a lot of things to the agencies responsible for disbursing the SRD Grant Payments for the month of April.

Easter Holidays

The SRD Payments for April prior Good Friday has been affected by the Easter holidays. These will also be the case after Good Friday as we still have Easter Monday Holiday.

SRD Payment Resumption

This has lead to the April SRD Payments for those receiving their payments at the South African Post Office to resume from Tuesday 19 April 2022. The payments will continue to be disbursed from that Tuesday until Friday for that particular week.

Pay Dates for Next Week

Here below you will find dates for the SRD payments for the week beginning on the 18th of April. Please note that the dates are arranged according to the last 3 digits of the beneficiaries’ ID numbers. These arrangements are done by the South African Post Office.

Wait for SMS

Don’t just rush to the Post Office or supermarkets before receiving a message informing you of your payment release. Avoid disappointments, wait for the SMS from Sassa or Post Office for collecting your April R350 Grant payment.

Additional Supermarkets for SRD Pay Collection

In the recent weeks, Sassa has announced that SRD Grant beneficiaries may get their payments from additional retailers such as Shoprite, Checkers, USave and OK Foods. All you need in order to cashout your Social Relief of Distress Grant at these retailers in an SMS from Sassa, your cellphone and ID.

Now, the question to you is: have you tried to cashout you R350 grant at one of these newly added retailers? And what was the outcome? Was it successful or not?

  1. When will the next payment for April be? The dates published for recipients of the Srd R350 grant are presumably for March.

  2. Good day I’m not seeing the 086 on the list.
    When will they get paid coz their dates was supposed to be on the 14th of April but the money was not available.

  3. I find it disturbing and painful especially when the process of reconsidering or assessment takes so long when all the necessary information is at the sassa officials disposal. Can it really take four(4) to six(6) months for one’s application to go through for such a long period, am puzzled. It is a long period and it seems no one cares especially for people like us who desperately in need and have kids.

On behalf of many out there, we are requesting sassa to please help us with the supermarket withdrawal, some of us are using poor phones that we had to ask people to apply for the grant with their phones, but the issue of inability to withdraw money from the supermarket is really stressing us because SAPO is frustrating, we stand on que for longer hours, some of us are even weak, or suffer from chronic diseases, so we beg of you cut the restriction and allow anyone who wants to use the supermarket to.use it regardless of how the grant was applied after all id and phone used is needed upon withdrawal so I don’t see why the fuss about going to the post office. Thank you we would really appreciate the change. If you can do the research about the money that wasnt collected from the post office are those beneficiaries that were unable to collect the money from supermarkets. Yet they remain starving without your help reaching them which is then pointless . We plead with you to reconsider that every SRD beneficiary that receives money via SAPO should be able to collect it at those agreed supermarkets regardless of how they applied it. Thank you
