NSFAS Allowances for 2022 to be Paid from This Friday

Budget Allocation
On their media statement dated 5 April 2022, NSFAS announced that they have received their allocated budget from the National Treasury. They will therefore commence on disbursing the funding to the qualifying institutions for the payments of students allowances.
When will NSFAS Allowances be paid?
The scheme said that the students’ allowances will be paid from Friday, 08 April 2022. NSFAS statement further indicated that a communication has been sent to the institutions on allowance payment processes. Institutions were informed that they must abide by the funding rules for NSFAS funding criteria when disbursing the funds to the students.

UNISA Earlier Announcement
Meanwhile, UNISA earlier in March made an announcement about NSFAS allowance for their students for 2022 academic year. On the 16th of March 2022, Unisa posted an announcement on their website informing the students as to when they can expect NSFAS allowances for 2022. Read more below.
When will Unisa students get NSFAS allowances for 2022?
Unisa NSFAS allowance 2022 to be disbursed from April 2022. The University of South Africa posted an announcement on their website which reads “The 2022 NSFAS allowances disbursements will commence in April 2022 once NSFAS payments have been received at the beginning of April 2022. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and we will do our best to release the allowances as soon funds are received from NSFAS.” Read from Unisa’s website.

Learning Material Allowance and Living Allowance for 2022
