UNISA Payment Methods 2022

The University of South Africa (Unisa) uses different payment methods for you to pay your tuition fees, application fee or any other payments you want to make to the university. These allow applicants and students to choose method convenience for them making it easier to make payments.

While these methods have advantages and disadvantages, the benefit of some of the Unisa payment methods outweighs the disadvantages. So, it is wiser to choose a method that will be convenient for you and also one that will be quickly traceable in order for quick processing of your query.

Convenience

For your convenience, Unisa provide a variety of different payment methods. The following are the payment channels used by the University of South Africa.

 In the case of electronic transfers, please ensure that the reference field is completed correctly.

Does Unisa allow Cash or Cheques?

No cash or cheques will be accepted at any Unisa office. Cash can, however, be paid into the university’s bank account at any First National Bank (FNB) branch.

Unisa allows payment via:

Debit cards, Credit cards, Unisa web credit card payments, Bank deposit, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Payments by employers / bulk payments, sponsors, bursaries, donors and international students.

Debit card payments are accepted if you pay or register in person at any Unisa Regional offices.

Credit cards are restricted to Visa and Mastercard. Credit card payments are accepted if you pay or register in person at Unisa in Sunnyside / Florida or one of the regional offices. Please note that these are real-time transactions.

Bank deposit

Cash and direct bank deposits can be made at any First National Bank (FNB) in South. For you to make payment you need to have a student number as it if used as part of reference number.
