Reconfirm Sassa R350 SRD Application

The current cycle of SRD R350 Grant is administered under new regulations. One such regulation is that, every three month, applicants must reconfirm their SRD applications.

Why Reconfirm Sassa Application for SRD Grant?

All SRD R350 grant applicants must reconfirm their grant applications at least once every 3 months. This reconfirmation informs SASSA that applicants still need and qualify for the grant in terms of the regulations.

How to Reconfirm Sassa R350 SRD Application


Step 1: Go to the SRD website here or click https://srd.sassa.gov.za

Step 2: Scroll down to “Reconfirm your grant application”

Step 3: Click the yellow bar that reads “click here to reconfirm your existing application”

Step 4: Enter your ID number 

Step 5: Enter you mobile number

Step 6: Click send SMS, You will receive a One-Time Pin (OTP) via SMS

Step 7: Enter the OTP

Step 8: Click on verify pin

Step 9: Follow the remaining steps to complete the process, then you are done.

Cancelled SRD Grant?

Have you cancelled your SRD Grant but now you want to reinstate it? Here below are the steps to reinstate your SRD Grant.

SRD Grant Reinstatement [Step-by-step]

Step 1: Go to SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za

Step 2: Scroll down to Cancel my Application tab: Click reinstate my cancelled grant application

Step 3: Provide ID number and mobile number, then click send pin

Step 4: You will receive a message/ SMS with 6 digit OTP number

Step 5: Insert the OTP number and click verify pin

Step 6: Agree to terms and Conditions, Click reinstate my grant

Step 7: A message will pop up to ask if you are sure about the reinstatement of the grant.

Step 8: Click YES to continue with the reinstatement;

  3. April pending may pending june approved without a paydate for 4 weeks july pending what is happening people are suffering and need there money then you guys say do this do that but yet the people are trying everything but still not receiving there money

  5. I applied for SRD grant in 2020 when it started and it was declined until 2021 December unaware received the 350 till march.. Re-applied as thy said we must in April, April and May pending boom June declined I really don’t understand how it works cause been unemployed since 2017 but I don’t qualify.. How I wish I can get some to respond and explain to how this thing works..

  8. I am currently not working and my srd grant its been declining ever since last year, I applied for an appeal and i did receive 4 months from August to November.other months are pending and june its declined …it’s very sad because I’m not working

I re-applied for SRD grant(R350) for the month of April and it said Pending in applied for Reconsideration of my application it said Declined with Self Exclusionary found, I Appeal my application and it said Fail.   34. Reconfirm for what so you guys can just put up a whole lot of stories about how Sassa is going to do payouts but it just never materialise , don’t you guys think it’s easier to just tell the truth instead of stringing the citizens along as you are currently doing ?

  38. I haven’t received my June benefit yet, although my status has been approved for June for more than three weeks. April, May and July are still pending!! Have emailed, the emails just get thrown back, Gmail says it’s Sassa’s IT Dept that doesn’t accept the emails to ‘grantenquiries@sassa.gov’!! When I phone to enquire, I’m told that due to lots of traffic, my call may be dropped, then it is instantly dropped, no matter how many times I call. The Whats app Unathi bot keeps on not recognizing the prompts!!! What is a person to do? Anybody know how I can get a hold of Minister Lindiwe personally? Oh, Facebook and Twitter garners no replies whatsoever, I don’t think anyone even looks at the messages!!!

  46. I have applied for August 2021 till March 2022 and kept getting declined due to UIF registered. I had sorted out matter with UIF offices in January 2022 and they said the SRD offices have to pay me what is due and I did not get paid out. The reason being when i reapplied in April 2022 they say i am declined because my brother was putting money in my account to keep it open and pay my bank charges for me to receive my SRD funds i that account. So they think i am receiving alternate funds. This is unfair because i do not receive any money from anyone. My husband is the only one working part time looking after 7 people at home. I was relying on these funds to help us out and how come due to UIF registered reason now its another story.

    14. Ever since I applied for 350 its rather unidentitified source of income but I was at the bank how many times to check if there are exiting money but nothing I don’t know what is the problem I never received a payment ever.

I would like to understand on how do you deal with those who are not receiving grants because they are said to be debtors accused of receiving money from the bursary when in true they are not even in varsity? Since my first application in March 2021 I haven’t received the grant but they say I did and I have to pay it back and don’t qualify for any grant because I am NSFAS student while I’ve completed my studies in 2020.
    Now on this new cycle I am said to not qualify because I have an alternative income. I don’t have any income right now and the money transferred to me before was for the baby. I really need this grant.

Good day I do not receive any help from my family members anymore my son works and when he is at work he will ask me to go to the butcher or to spar to buy something for the house and by doing so he will deposit money into my account which he does now and again.   65. I have not been paid for three months plus the month of July 2022 and I have done that reconfirmation as well .money still in my bank account. I have no clue what do sassa means by appealing for the month of April and May because I have re- applied as soon as I got the message to do so in March 2022
