There is an advert that is making rounds on social media about Sassa R700 Grant. Sassa is warning the public of such advert. You may be asking yourself whether the grant is legit or not. Here are the answers.

Below is what the advert promises.

The advert which reads “In 2022, over 575,000 citizens will receive R700 payment. This is part of Sassa 2022 budget to support all South Africa (sic) citizens. Applications has began and citizen (sic) that have applied have started getting their R700 payments.” Has received some reaction from The South African Social Security Agency.

What is Sassa saying about this R700 grant?

On their Twitter page (@OfficialSassa), The South African Social Security Agency has announced that the advert in question is fake. They keep warning the public about this false information.

Sassa on Twitter says: “Please note that the below advert is FAKE and does not come from SASSA. No additional grant type is offered apart from the ones announced by SASSA”. See the embedded tweet below.

About R350 SRD Grant
