Stats SA Field Workers Vacancies 2022: 165 000 Field Workers to be Recruited

Stats SA extends is recruiting field workers to work on Census 2022 programme. They have also extended the application due date to 31 January 2022. See media release below.

The closing date for Census 2022 Recruitment Drive is extended to 31 January 2022. This will give the 2021 matriculants, who will receive their results towards the end of January 2022, a chance to apply for the available work opportunities.

Extending the Census Recruitment Drive will not affect census data collection and fieldwork will commence on Census Night, 2 February 2022, as scheduled. Said Stats SA on their media statement.

Statistics South Africa has urged matriculants waiting for their final examination results later this January, to apply for available work opportunities.

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga announced earlier this week that the matric class of 2021 would receive their results as of January 21.

Stats SA has extended the application closing date from 31 December 2021 to 31 January 2022 to allow 2021 matriculants to apply after receiving their matric results.

The field work is expected to start in February 2022.

They are looking for 165 000 temporary field workers from all over the country for fieldwork and activities such as data collection, clerical, administrative and other roles.
